02What data we collect
When you contact us (contact form, email or phone): your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. When you use the contact form, we also send an automatic confirmation to the email address you give us, so that you know we received your message.
When you book: reservations are made through our online booking system, which collects the details needed for your stay (name, contact details, dates, number of guests and payment information). Payment card details are handled by secure payment providers and are not stored on this website.
When you browse: our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. If you accept statistics cookies, we also collect data about how the website is used, with Google Analytics (see the cookie policy).
03Why we use your data
To answer your questions and requests (legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to you).
To manage your booking and your stay, and to meet our legal obligations as accommodation providers, for example guest registration and tax records (legal basis: contract and legal obligation).
To keep the website secure and working properly (legal basis: our legitimate interest).
To understand how the website is used and improve it, only if you accept statistics cookies (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not create profiles about you.
04Who we share it with
Only with partners that help us provide our services, and only as far as needed: our booking system (Hotelyzer) and payment providers, the server that hosts our website and email (Plesk), and Google, for the map and visit statistics, and only if you allow them. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this is done with appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We may also disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.
05How long we keep it
Messages and enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer them and for up to 2 years afterwards. Booking data is kept for as long as required by Greek tax and accommodation legislation. Technical server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
06Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, for cookies from .
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@eightyfourliving.gr. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
07Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. The website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
